Resources on Southern History and the Confederate Soldier
The Museum and Library of Confederate History works in conjunction with other historical groups to preserve and share the true history of the Confederate States of America. The legacy of the Confederate soldier—and the deeply personal reasons behind his service—is often misunderstood or misrepresented in today’s narratives. By providing accurate, respectful, and well-researched information, we strive to ensure that this vital part of our nation’s cultural heritage is not lost.
We encourage thoughtful exploration and recommend the following resources for those interested in learning more about Confederate history, the Southern experience during the 1800s, and the individuals who lived through it.
